NEW wine route opening this summer!

On the south side of Hvar island, hidden under the highest mountain peak “Sv.Nikola”, lies an old village of Sv.Nedilja (St.Sunday). One of the best Croatian red wines are made here, and our choice had to be “Ivan Dolac” and Plenković family vineyards (2 times best Wine of the Year).

With their friendliness and big hearts, dedication to the authentic, ecological wine making, dinning and a small private marina, restaurant and wine cellar under the sea, they won my heart the first day destiny brought me to this unique place with the boat! Combination of peace, serenity, vine yards looking at you from the top of the mountain, exotic blue lagoons around, olive trees, rosemary and lavender fields and the whole offer that marina and restaurant provide, are just the most memorable experience ever!

Vineyards are located on a very steep hill, 40-60%, 50% of the grapes are Plavac Mali, 40% white sorts of Pošip, Bogdanuša, Maraskina, Yellow Muscat and 10% is reserved for an experimental varieties and research. The grapes are processed only by hand and chemical protection of the vines are NOT needed, because of the unique combination of climate, Terra and cultivation techniques.

Special reserve bottles and one part of wine produced is kept under the earth with constant temperature of 11-12 °C. There is also a small wine cellar under the sea and the restaurant.

Yearly production around 900 000 btl.
